MANAGERS REPORT 2025
Over the whole competition, the Leonay Master Pennants Team of 2025 competed with enthusiasm and the true team spirit of Leonay Golf Club.
All home games were won, which was an advantage as Match Points go and we had one drawn match due to weather. The additional points the boys scored in away matches were insufficient to see us progress to the finals as our total Section points resulted in us missing semifinal by 0.5 points.
The team consisted of Stu Meyers (C), Laurie Cupples, Ian Barnes, Dean Watson, Dave Stevenson, Steve Thums, Matt Brennan, Pete Homan, Tim Cook and Pete Kitley: a number of which had not experienced playing at the opposition courses. Hoping all goes well for 2026.
