MID-SEASON REPORT
2/6/2025
Mid way thru the Master Pennants competition the Leonay Team are leading the competition by 3.5 points. After playing 3 rounds having 2 resounding wins and a wash out.
- 1st round performance by the team against Roseville produced a win of 7/1, main contributors Stevo 7/6 and Mat 6/5, overall a great start to the season by all players involved.
- 2nd return round against Roseville was declared a draw as Roseville G.C was unplayable due to the rains, so the points were shared.
- 3rd round against Brighton Lakes, again enjoying home course advantage, the Leonay team produced the goods winning 6/2. The competition was tight with results not being decided until the 17th hole. Every member contributed to the team effort with 2 losses decided on the 18th. Outstanding effort from the ever-consistent "Father Time", Laurie winning 5/4.
Next round is the return match against Brighton Lakes at their course on the 8th June.
Next home game will be against Moore Park on the 15th June.
