Juniors Event - July 2026

‍Leonay Golf Club again conducted Juniors-Only competitions for Leonay Golf Club Juniors during July School Holidays on Tuesday 7th and 14th.

Juniors were divided into 2 groups.  Juniors with handicaps and the more experienced juniors playing 18 holes with the less experienced and younger juniors playing a shortened 9 holes course.  It was particularly pleasing to see 3 junior girls from Mikayla’s junior clinics participating.  After golf, the juniors enjoyed refreshments (drinks, hot chips and pizzas) provided by Leonay Golf Club.

Many thanks to all those who assisted on the days, including parents, Golf Committee Members, Pro Shop Staff and especially Mikayla Edwards (Trainee Golf Professional) and Maxine McNally.

Winners on day one were Sunny Savage 38 points and Maverick Kennedy 35 points.
Winners on day two were Lawson Brown 41 points on count back from Blake McNally who also scored 41 points.

Each of the juniors who played 9 holes were awarded 2 golf balls each as encouragement awards.

Further such junior events are programmed for the October school holidays.  Stay tuned for further information.
