Warren and Gibson Update
Round 5 at Leonay - 18/08/2024.
Both the Warren and Gibson Teams had great wins on the weekend over Brighton Lakes here at home. The Warren Team had a very solid win 3-0 which keeps them in the lead in Section 8 with only one more round to go. The lads don't want to rely on other teams having a loss so they'll be pushing hard to have another win away from home! If they have a solid win next week, they may avoid going to the elimination round and go straight into the quarter finals.
The Gibson Team had a great 2-1 win showing they want to finish the year on a high which they are most certainly doing. While they won't make the finals this year, they are doing Leonay proud giving the other teams something to think about.
Thanks also goes out to all the supporters, spectators and followers and of course the most admired and talked about team, our sausage barbequers at the 9th, Billy Brace and his lovely wife. Every visiting team has remarked how great those onions smell coming down the 8th.
The last round will be hosted by Brighton Lakes on Sunday 25th August which is where the Warren and Gibson lads will travel to in order to take them on. Let's go boys!!
