ROUND 6 vs. North Turramurra
Both the Warren and Gibson Teams played the final round of the preliminary series for 2025 at North Turramurra on Sunday 31st August. The Warren team even though suffering a loss 1-2, the team had already cemented their place at the top of the table in their section and could not be beaten. However, the loss did mean they had to face the Elimination Round on Fathers Day.
Unfortunately the Gibson boys couldn't return the favour at Turramurra and while the lads showed that true fighting spirit Leonay is known for, they weren't able to pull off a 3-0 win on the day. While it was a 0-3 loss for the boys they still managed to finish a close 2nd in their Section.
Many thanks goes to the spectators and caddies as well as an extra special thanks to Billy Brace and his wife for the lovely catering at the 9th during this 2025 Warren and Gibson season.
WARREN TEAM - ELIMINATION ROUND
The Warren Team travelled to Beverley Park on Fathers Day to face Rosnay in the Elimination Round. It was unfortunate that the boys on the day couldn't progress any further in this years competition going down 1-2. Each of the pairs took it to Rosnay coming back from early setbacks to bring it back to square or even get in front momentarily, but unfortunately they weren't able to finish them off. Hats off to the team for getting into the finals yet again. Better luck for next year.
